Before I get started, there are two types of cosmetic products I would not recommend. The first type are products that are marketed as "exfoliation". These products are very common, and have been around for decades. They are expensive, and not necessarily effective, and can do a lot of damage to the skin. There is a difference between a product that is advertised as exfoliating and one that actually exfoliates. This is why you will see the words "exfoliation" and "cleansing" in many products. There are a few exceptions, which I will describe later. The other type of products are called "pre-packaged" and are made by companies that are not licensed to do this type of work, but instead buy products that look like they can exfoliate or are supposed to help. These products are more common, and most people think they are effective. They are often used by women who are looking for an exfoliating product in addition to a moisturizer. They also often contain ingredients that have skin-friendly fragrances, so that the woman does not have to deal with a chemical smell or harsh chemical agents. The most common type of "pre-packaged" products are:
These are products that make an area on the skin darker, and are generally formulated to exfoliate. They contain a strong irritant, such as hydroquinone.
